Stephen McFarland became interested in Wine in 1998 when he completed the 12 week certificate in food and Wine at Ballymaloe Cookery School, Co. Cork. After a successful career in catering, he enrolled in The Wine and Spirit Education courses through The Irish Wine Development Board and Dermot Nolan MW Wine services in Dublin, culminating in graduating with the WSET Diploma in Wine in 2011. Retail experience with Mitchells Wine Merchants and Berry Brothers & Rudd in Dublin lead him to set up McFarland Wines in January 2007 based in Northern Ireland.

Stephen has a passion for Wine attending regular tastings throughout the country and visiting different producing regions and their producers throughout Europe.
